Recover a session in a SRDF/Metro Smart DR environment

SRDF/Metro Smart DR is a two-region high available (HA) disaster recovery (DR) solution. It integrates SRDF/Metro and SRDF/A enabling HA DR for a Metro session.

Prerequisites

See Roles and associated permissions to determine the user roles that can perform this task.

The storage system must be running PowerMaxOS 5978 Q3 2020 or later.

About this task

The recover command transitions the smart DR environment back to a known state.

To recover a session in a smart DR environment:

Steps

  1. Select the storage system.
  2. Click PROTECTION to view the PROTECTION dashboard and select SRDF/MetroDR from the High Availability section of the summary panel. Alternatively, select DATA PROTECTION > MetroDR.
  3. Select a smart DR environment and click Recover.
  4. Optional: Click Advanced Options to set the advanced options. Select the advanced options and click OK.
  5. Do one of the following:
    • Click Run Now to perform the operation now.
    • Expand Run Now and click Add to Job List to add this task to the job list, from which you can schedule or run the task at your convenience. For more information, see Schedule jobs and Preview jobs.
